The State of Michigan’s DTMB – Technical Services Division has selected Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) as its Software Defined Networking (SDN) and switching solution for the network infrastructure environment. The environment stretches across two physical data centers for high availability and redundancy.
DTMB Technical Services is seeking a highly consultative engagement from a qualified ACI design and implementation Partner to allow State team members to actively participate in and become familiar with Cisco ACI throughout the deployment. This Partner will provide design oversight and a mentor-led deployment and configuration of the ACI fabric.
The on-premise ACI fabric is intended to be deployed in a multipod topology to allow for each data center’s environment to operate independently. Primarily, ACI will be implemented for DTMB Technical Services’ Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) offering. Additionally, a Multi-Site Orchestrator (MSO) cluster will be deployed to allow ACI objects to be stretched to the State’s Cloud Service Providers (CSP). After these two technical implementations are complete, the focus will shift to instantiating ACI throughout the State of Michigan’s network infrastructure.
