Job Description:
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) requires a Project Manager III under the FAST contract to provide senior-level project management support for complex, enterprise-level initiatives. The resource will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams. This role ensures successful delivery of projects by maintaining alignment with DPS objectives, governance standards, and established project management methodologies.
·Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and communication components.
·Define project objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
·Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and business units to ensure alignment and execution of project activities.
·Monitor project performance, track progress against milestones, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues and risks.
·Facilitate stakeholder engagement, meetings, and status reporting to ensure clear communication and transparency.
·Manage project scope changes through formal change control processes and ensure governance compliance.
·Oversee vendor performance and deliverables when external contractors are involved.
·Ensure adherence to DPS policies, state procurement requirements, and FAST contract guidelines.
·Support project documentation, reporting, and administrative requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
·Drive project closure activities, including final reporting, deliverable acceptance, and lessons learned documentation.
