Hybrid/Local (Austin ONLY) TX Govt Automation Tester (15+) with functional/application/regression/database testing, information architecture, Texas Project Delivery Framework experience
Location: Austin, TX (HHSC)
Duration: 2 Months
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

8 Required Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions automatically
8 Required Experience in prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios
8 Required Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments
8 Required Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing
8 Required Knowledge of the software development life cycle and software development methodologies
8 Required Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly
8 Required Strong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functions
8 Required Acquires knowledge of the Customer’s business in assigned area
8 Required Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
8 Required Able to work with Customer as needed during test cycle
8 Required Excellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skills

2 Preferred Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates

Description:
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 QA Engineer Automated 3, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of QA Engineer Automated 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer.
QA automation engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.
• Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications.
• Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases.
• Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.
• Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems.
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather testing requirements and objectives.
