Hybrid/Local MI Govt AWS/GCP Engineer/Architect (15+/AWS CCP/GCCDL) with DevOps, web services, automation/scripting, APIs, CI/CD, Linux, NIST/CIS/PCI, VMware/Cisco/Dell/Nutanix experience
Location: Dimondale, MI (DTMB)
Duration: 12 Months
Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days).

Core Tasks
• Assist senior cloud architects with the design and deployment of cloud solutions across the State
of Michigan AWS, and GCP environments.
• Support the build-out of multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid cloud
models.
• Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools.
• Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps systems.
• Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities.
• Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for onboarding and future reference.
• Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI,
etc.).
• Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring controls.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud
requirements.
• Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and internal teams to evaluate
technologies.
• Support enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments.
• Assist with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud workloads.
• Help design and test workload migrations and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies (VMware, Cisco, Dell,
Nutanix, etc.).
• Leverage State of Michigan Institutional knowledge to cloud engineering projects.
