Hybrid/Local (Austin ONLY) Tableau/Power BI Developer (15+) with Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/Snowflake, Informatica ETL experience
Location: Austin, TX (HHSC)
Duration: 4 Months
Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Tues, Wed & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.
Skills:
8 Required Creating dashboards or reports using Tableau / PowerBI or similar tools.
8 Required Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and data management experience using Informatica.
4 Preferred working with very large scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, , or similar. Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
4 Preferred experience with data analysis
2 Preferred experience working with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred.
2 Preferred working with Tableau creating dashboards and reports.
2 Preferred working with PowerBI creating dashboards and reports.
Description:
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 Systems Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Systems Analyst 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer.
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within the existing system.
Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by creating data pipelines, dashboards and reports using Informatica IICS, Tableau or PowerBI as determined by the business requirements. Contractor will translate business requirements into data pipelines and Tableau/PowerBI reports, and work with the program staff to ensure it meets the needs of the customer. Contractor will participate in testing of pipelines, reports and dashboards to ensure proper function, and work with coworkers to publish and promote the reports as needed. Experience with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred.
Contractor will be required to be on site 3 days per week currently, but this is subject to change
