Fully Onsite & Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense. Candidates from SC, NC, and GA will be preferred.
Required Skills:

• 3+ years Understanding of monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds)

Position: Network Technician – Advanced
Clemson University Computing and Information Technology provides a challenging, broad range of skill development in a team environment. We provide quality customer service and support in an academic/research/business setting.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Monitors Clemson network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
• Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned, such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.
• Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.
• Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
