The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise across the full software development lifecycle, with experience delivering multiple custom solutions, particularly within the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., .NET, Azure, SQL Server). They demonstrate advanced proficiency in full-stack development, software architecture, and system design, and are adept at documenting solutions at both logical and physical levels. A strong understanding of software security best practices is required. The candidate should also have experience designing robust applications that align with organizational standards for performance, maintainability, and compliance.
We are seeking a consultant to conduct a Readiness Assessment to evaluate our agency’s preparedness to design, build, and maintain a secure, robust, moderately complex application in-house. The assessment should analyze the capabilities of our IT department—including staffing, architecture, platform, development approach, and governance processes—and identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement. The consultant will deliver findings, recommendations, and a roadmap to help ensure we are positioned for a successful in-house build.
Is this a long-term project? the project itself is a long-term project with implementation currently estimated for September 2027. The readiness assessment is short-term and limited. The scope of the full project includes extensive planning, design, and readiness activities leading up to that date to ensure a successful launch and long-term sustainability. As part of this effort, we are requesting that the Readiness Assessment be completed no later than July 15, 2025, to help inform strategic decisions and next steps.
