Proven working experience in a Clinical/Health/BioTech environment as a Business Systems Analyst Highly desired 3 Years
Ability to collaborate with vendor delivery teams and other technical staff, and business partners Required 5 Years
The ability to accurately define and capture project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Required 5 Years
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Highly desired 7 Years
Analytical and able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems Required 5 Years
Familiarity with HL7 and its family of standards Highly desired 3 Years
Proven working experience in understanding/documenting business processes, workflows, and related artifacts Required 5 Years
Contributes to all phases of SDLC Highly desired 5 Years
Ability to produce quality deliverables including test cases/scenarios, expected/actual results, issue logging/tracking, and reporting. Required 5 Years
Business System Analyst 4 – to perform the following:
• Supports the Virginia Department of Corrections EHR Implementation Project
• Possess experience within a Clinical/Health/Bio-Tech environment
• Has familiarity with HL7 and its family of standards including Version 2 (V2), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA®) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®)
• Supports the Health IT Unit in the Implementation of the Electronic Health Records solution
• Collaborates with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into coordinated specifications for the Electronic Health Records solution
• Defines health IT requirements for clinical disciplines as they relate to the strategic plan and unit mission.
• Provides business analysis on clinical processes, workflows and related artifacts
• Contributes to project/program implementation, infrastructure, system architecture, planning, project initiation, business analysis, requirements definition, systems design, systems development, system testing, systems implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, production service and support, and systems administration support tasks to ensure computer applications will assist DOC in achieving its day-to-day mission.
• Implements downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting regarding system response time and service level agreements for connectivity and operational effectiveness of health IT
• Ensures compliance with the VITA project management standards and procedures for development, enhancement, and deployment of applications developed or procured by Health IT/CTSU to deliver services that satisfy user requirements and Health IT/CTSU established standards, provides project planning and management
• Produces quality deliverables through the coordination of requirements to test output, develops detailed knowledge and functional area expertise of business processes for supported DOC units,
• Participates in project teams or functional workgroups, maintains positive, professional relationships with colleagues and customers, demonstrates initiative, timeliness, self-professional development, expert and applied skill in negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building.
