Work Conditions/Expectations: Onsite a minimum of 3 days per week during business hours ranging between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. 12 month engagement expected. Local candidates will be considered first bc of the ON SITE requirement. Proof of local (NoVA) address may be requested.

Parking is available and a workstation (on site) will be designated

Pls note: Contractor must use their own equipment/laptop when working off site then data will be uploaded to the database. FF Water will NOT provide a laptop – all work will be done thru Sharepoint so the agency has immediate access to all the data/work.

Expected Start and Duration: Project Management activities will begin February/ March 2023. The customer service modernization projects will kick-off in April 2023. The expected duration of the projects is nine months with an additional three months of post deployment support. This may be extended based on the actual duration of the project.

Job Statement:

Fairfax Water is seeking a PMP certified Project Manager to manage its customer service modernization program that is comprised of two projects with schedules that will overlap to enable testing, training, and deployment to occur concurrently.

One project will replace the SAP Customer Interaction Center (CIC) with a contemporary customer engagement/customer relationship management solution. The other project will replace the contact center platform. The selected products must integrate with each other and with Fairfax Water’s existing SAP S/4HANA solution. Each project will be supported by project teams comprised of third-party consultants and Fairfax Water subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects complete on schedule, with expected scope, and within budget
• Advise Fairfax Water during vendor contract negotiations
• Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget
• Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (e.g. WBS, risk assessments, project charter, RACIs, communication plan, MS schedule, status reports, etc.)
• Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist Fairfax Water in the development and management of a change management plan
• Align project deliverables and milestones with projects strategy and objectives
• Advise Fairfax Water leadership and the Technology managers of status key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results, and deliver presentations
• Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notes
• Consult project stakeholders and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide weekly status reports to key project stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues
• Manage project resources, overseeing day-to-day project activities
• Utilize project management applications as appropriate
