Hybrid Disease Intervention Specialist with Public Health, syphilis, gonorrhea, STI, MCR and DIS experience

This contractor will work as a Disease Intervention Specialist/Public Health Rep 4 alongside existing STI staff to ensure interviews, partner services, testing and re-testing of patients and partners are conducted, particularly among priority populations such as women of reproductive age and men who have sex with men. STI rates have increased year over year for the last five years in TN, including particularly concerning increases in gonorrhea (74%), syphilis (62%), and congenital syphilis (>300%). These increases in STI illnesses have increased the need for staff to conduct quality STI investigation and partner services in our regional and local health departments. This position is requested to assist the MCR STI staff with such activities. This contractor would be expected to complete the minimum trainings required of a DIS 1 within their first 6 months of employment, and should specifically complete the online modules for Passport to Partner Services prior to conducting partner services activities.
