Description
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization’s application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and at least 6 years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
REMOTE – PART TIME FOR ONE YEAR 10-30 HOURS A WEEK SCHEDULE WILL BE NEGOTIATED WHEN SELECTED
ODOT is deploying a 64bit version of Office 365 for the desktop. ODOT currently users Office 2016 32bit. We are seeking an application specialist to assist the agency with remediating file incompatibility issues as they are encountered or identified, during the upgrade project.
The contractor shall:
· Remediate MS Office compatibility issues that arise from migrating to 64 bit Office 365 from 32 bit Office.
· Possess advanced, current and recent experience remediating common issues with Office files and VBA, especially with MS Excel and MS Access.
· Comfortable and knowledgeable with integrating SQL Server and other technologies with MS Office using industry best practices and processes
· Work directly with ODOT business lines to understand the problem and ensure fit-for-business fix.
· Work directly with ODOT IT to propose solutions and track issues.
Provide documentation of all Office files worked on, steps taken, and solutions implemented; to include a compilation of the most common occurring issues and their solutions.
· Ability to execute verbal and written communication
Demonstrated capability to interact with customers, clearly comprehend their needs, and document those needs.
