The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 Project Manager hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Project Manager Intern 3, and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Parks and Wildlife.

The contractor will perform project management functions for multiple IT projects with a wide range of dependencies and timeline variabilities. The contractor will be responsible for providing direction to the overall deployment, implementation, and delivery of projects.

The contractor will assist in the development for project statements of work and RFO packages to be used for vendor solicitations. SOW and RFO documents will vary in length and complexity depending on the nature of the project. Coordination and communication with the customer will be critical to understanding the needs, limitations, and goals of each individual project. The contractor will participate in the review of bid packages to ensure project goals are included.

The contractor will track each project task to ensure that no delays and interruptions jeopardize timely completion. Project schedules and status will be frequently documented and updated. Project summary reports will be provided to the management team on a to-be determined basis. The contractor will work with other business areas to ensure that each project is managed through the various workflows without undue delays.

The contractor will act as liaison and provide communication with IT field staff, internal customer, and external vendors to ensure all parties are current on work schedules and project timelines are followed. Contractor will actively identify, track, and ensure the resolution of issues and the removal of barriers to successful project completion.
