The Worker is part of a new capital department for Consolidated Application Control Environment (CACE) Compliance for the CAPPS Human Capital Management (HCM) department. This position will perform database administrator duties that include implementing and maintaining complex PeopleSoft Oracle databases, supporting system rollouts, informing/advising the project manager about project plans and implementation, conducting technical analysis, and producing technical subject matter expert and strategy recommendations. Assist in preparing implementation plans for PeopleTools and PeopleSoft image upgrades. Will also work with technical teams to coordinate UAT and code releases as necessary. Must have experience working in an Agile environment. Some on-call support may be required depending on project phase.
Will assist in efforts to upgrade PeopleSoft 9.2 to a new image and upgrade PeopleTools to new version. Evaluates, installs, and maintains database software. Will troubleshoot tasks in PIA including Oracle Database, Process Scheduler, Application Server, and Web Server on both Unix and Windows. Will Debug and optimize SQL statements in Oracle Database. Will set up the database, schedule regular backups, monitor the database, and provide database support. Will troubleshoot and tune the database. Will perform database backups and recoveries. Controls and monitors database and application security and integrity. Troubleshoots all database and/or application-related performance issues. May assist developers with performance tuning of SQL, queries, and database objects as well as developing stored procedures and/or triggers.
