Senior Oracle Database Administrator in support of Oracle eBusiness Suite application
*local candidates strongly preferred
*manager will ONLY conduct onsite interviews, NO exceptions
*candidate MUST be comfortable working ONSITE for the first several weeks – length of time to be determined by manager. Then candidate can work remotely up to one day each week.
*contract duration will extend beyond 6/30/22, probably through 6/30/23 or longer
Works with the software engineering team to provide support of the Oracle eBusiness environment. Additionally supports Oracle Database infrastructure at the VSP.
Considerable knowledge and experience with Oracle Databases, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and UNIX environments is required. This includes:
•Day to day activities for Oracle eBusiness Suite such as Cloning, Patching, Code Migration, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, Database monitoring, User Management, Backup/Recovery Management, SR Management, Monitoring the eBusiness Suite and its services is required
•Administration, performance tuning, security, data management, configuration management, and disaster recovery for Oracle databases is required.
•Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite modules is required.
•Experience with UNIX scripting highly desirable.
•Experience with Oracle eBusiness 12.2 version is required.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
•Experience working independently to review Oracle notes and work with Oracle support is required
