DHHS IT is seeking an expert Technical Architect/ Software Developer to assist with Data migration efforts and provide day-to-day support to an ASP.NET web application with SQL Server database.
The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Technical Architect/Software Developer contractor. This position requires strong technical skills/experience to support a stable ASP.NET web-based application with SQL Server database backend. Duties included analysis, design, development, implementation and support for system enhancements which will require web-based .NET programming and database design. Required system enhancements involve C#.NET and SQL Server.
Responsibilities / Expectations:
• Perform expert level functional and technical assessments of the existing application that was developed in ASP.NET MVC, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and HTML, Entity Framework, SAML Authentication, with SQL Server backend databases.
* Advanced SQL skillsets – able to use complex T-SQL query to extract/concatenate/re-format data from multiple tables.
* Troubleshoot and improve query performance with SQL tools such as SQL profiler and Execution Plan
* Experience creating clustered and non-clustered indexes to keep up SQL performance.
* Experience in bulk copy program (BCP), data transformation services and data conversion from legacy systems.
* Demonstrate good communication and analytical skills when communicating with other technical or business staff.
* Extensive knowledge of SAML Authentication.
* Provide expert level analysis of database design and structures.
* Extensive knowledge of Server Migration, IIS and SSL certification binding.
* Develop, test, debug, and deploy software application / database.
* Follow formal SDLC process including required documentation.
