The North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) seeks a User Interface and User Experience Designer with a keen eye for usability of transactional systems and detail to craft highly engaging and intuitive data visualization experiences, across application features and functionality, reporting, and interfaces. This role focuses on discovery, and efficient data capture, navigation, and search and display needed by users across NC.

Using design thinking and execution methodologies, the ideal candidate will deliver simple and representative data effectively in engaging forms. This person will also participate in development of definitions and documentation for the User Experience style guide patterns and behaviors, create wireframe layouts for pages that present data content and functionality with intuitive clarity and balance.

Tasks include performing user research, usability testing, electronic and paper prototyping, interaction design and data visualization to create design deliverables including flows, interactive prototypes, and specifications, and validation with development and implementation teams and users. Responsibilities include working with user research to aid in design hypothesis and analyze and apply to user-centric design solutions.
