Infrastructure Solutions Architect 4
This position functions as an Application Architect responsible for ensuring the usability and integrity of the State’s mission-critical payroll, personnel, and benefits system, currently the Human Resource Management Network (HRMN). The failure of any part of these systems would have statewide impact.
This is a highly technical area of responsibility and includes the configurations, security, resource monitoring and reporting, advanced troubleshooting, and development of specialized programs. The architect coordinates software issues with other groups within DTMB and external third-party entities.
This position functions as the key resource for planning, organizing, and advising business owners in the areas related to the system architecture to enable them to meet their objectives and goals. This position also ensures the integrity of the solution, the security of the data, the soundness and validation of technical solutions architecture being proposed, ensures proper implementation including those proper methods, procedures, processes, and best practices are followed as related to supporting the system.
This position has responsibility to provide extensive technical knowledge and guidance to management and analysts as a technical resource on custom development and design.
HRMN is used statewide by more than 54,000 users and interfaces with over 175 internal and external systems. Some of those interfaces include sending accounting information to MAIN FACS, sending payment information to Treasury, sending payroll information to ORS, and sending information to all benefit providers, Deferred Comp providers (457 and 401K), Flexible Spending providers, Credit Unions, and Unions.
The position requires extensive systems knowledge within the UNIX server and Windows Server platforms. This position requires expert experience in WebSphere along with web server technologies including IHS and IIS administration.
The position demands various programming capabilities including shell scripting, .NET, and Java, provides support for the enterprise-wide intranet applications, and provides systems and application support and coordination for the state’s HRMN INFOR internet portal.
