REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
– Develops SCCM system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation
– Leads problem analysis and recovery process to solve complex technical issues and develop customized solutions in deploying software applications
– Advanced experience with the migration, installation, & configuration of SCCM environments, & deployment technologies
– Working experience in large scale SCCM deployments using SCCM task sequences
– Working experience with 3rd party patching to include Ivanti Patch plugin
– In-depth knowledge of active directory, group policy objects, batch, & PowerShell
– Solid understanding of networking concepts
– Advanced knowledge & expertise with Windows OS – registry, profiles, services & components, file system & application compatibility
– In-depth experience in desktop administrative & engineering application support, & supporting operating systems in a Microsoft enterprise environment
– Excellent customer support & experience in supporting a diverse customer base
– Extensive knowledge in information security to include windows security policies, licensing, digital certificates, file permissions, & AD security
– Experience with VMWare, virtual machines, configuration manager & remote computing
– Knowledge of general application architectures & .NET Framework technologies
– Proven strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
– Detailed oriented & good time management
– Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work effectively & independently with minimal supervision
– Ability to communicate clearly, & concisely, both verbally & in writing

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
– Bachelor’s degree &/or equivalent experience in Information Technology management with focus on SCCM & software distribution
– 8 years of experience with application packaging using SCCM & Windows installer technologies
– 5 years of supporting a diverse customer base
– 5 years of desktop administrative & engineering software support
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT desktop software roles
– Minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows desktop operating systems within a corporate environment

PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
– 10 years or more experience as a Windows System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Administrator or Engineer designing, installing, & maintaining SCCM
– 10 or more years’ experience in creating, maintaining, & documenting automation tasks such as operating system deployments, patch Deployments (both Microsoft & 3rd party), application deployments, & custom security deployment implementations
– 5 or more years’ experience in automating assigned tasks utilizing PowerShell
– 5 or more years’ experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions
– In depth knowledge of End User Computing architectures, management platforms, security path management, scripting languages such as PowerShell, Active Directory group policy, VMware, VDI, Orchestration, & automation
– Microsoft certifications highly preferred
– Strong written, verbal, & presentation skills

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

This position will migrate SCCM to the latest system builds, hotfixes, server operating systems, admin consoles, and client updates using the Change Management process. This position will plan, recommend, execute, and implement new SCCM system hardware, software, configurations, and create technical instructions, best practices, operating procedures, policies, and thoroughly document all improvements during the project.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Verifies the health of the SCCM environment & researches the environment & infrastructure. Produces a migration strategy to remediate any issues & develops an optimization plan to increase efficiency & improve performance. Provide architectural expertise to ensure that solutions are aligned with IT standards & best practices. Recommends new deployment technologies and methods.
2. Ensures SCCM is current & upgraded to the latest system builds, hotfixes, server operating systems, admin consoles, & client updates using the Change Management process. Must be capable of independently building a new SCCM infrastructure in the environment.
3. Develops the necessary SCCM hierarchy configurations & creates all site system roles such as distribution points, application catalog, & database & SQL Reporting services based on the network topology.
4. Creates best practices documentation & develops technical instructions, operating procedures, policies, & thoroughly document all improvements during the project.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.
