Minimum Requirements:
Years Required/Preferred Experience
8 Required Analyzing geographic information systems and procedures; to read and interpret surveys, legal descriptions, cartography, engineering documents, construction plans, aerial photography and orthophotography
8 Required Experienced GIS Programmer in the ESRI Suite of products (ArcGIS Server, Enterprise, Portal, Notebook Server, Data Store).
5 Required Proficient in Python, ArcPy, SQL, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Data Interoperability extension for GIS or FME, Server object extensions (SOE), Rest APIs.
5 Required Experience designing, developing, and deploying GIS Solutions.
5 Required Designing effective and aesthetic web pages to deliver interactive, data driven GIS applications with a focus on usability
5 Required Planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple assignments to effectively manage a fast paced and changing work environment without compromising accuracy.
5 Required Consistently meet internal and external customer needs and expectations in a professional manner.
5 Required Experience transposing physical maps into digital shapefiles.
5 Required Experience developing, configuring, and deploying ArcGIS Enterprise server solutions.
5 Required Extensive experience with highly complex security application requirements
1 Required Experience in the most recent versions of ArcGIS Enterprise
5 Preferred REACT or Angular framework for ArcGIS API for JavaScript (4.1.9)
3 Preferred Knowledge of mainframe databases and MuleSoft Integration Server
3 Preferred Experience with State of Texas MSA, County, and city
3 Preferred GISP GIS certifications
3 Preferred Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Visio, Excel.
3 Preferred Familiar utilizing Atlassian products Jira and Confluence
2 Preferred Competent working an Agile development methodology, attending daily standups, delivering sprint objectives.

The Candidate must have extensive knowledge and comfort performing the following:

The Candidate must be familiar with Agile project management and have advanced verbal/written communication skills, as well as a proficient understanding of secure development practices (including authentication, authorization, confidentiality, data-integrity, non-repudiation, and availability). The Candidate must be able to follow software development processes, follow a detailed project plan and generate work estimates.
The Candidate must be able to take assignments and direction from agency management and technical lead staff.
Onsite Requirement: Candidate will be working remotely since all Application Services programmers are teleworking. Onsite work will be very limited and must be pre-approved by the Direct Supervisor
On-call Requirement: Candidate may be required to provide support to an on-call programmer.
