**Request for NEW position per the statewide contract and rates.**The North Carolina Department of IT – Transportation (NCDIT-T) is seeking an Expert level Tableau Architect/Administrator for its internal and public facing Tableau implementations. The person is responsible for overall architecture of Tableau server environment and its alignment with the Transportation business needs. Must have experience managing and implementing large scale tableau deployments for both public anonymous and internal customers. Must have strong experience building out Tableau environments in Microsoft Azure (VM, Networking etc). Experience with securing, hardening, scaling and monitoring, managing and performance tuning Tableau on windows Server in azure to ensure SLAs are met. Should have Experience with Azure Load Balancing, private networking, VPNs, and Express Routes. SAP HANA, ESRI ArcGIS experience are a plus. After hours work may be required to support off hours patching and other maintenance needs.
Responsibilities:
•Install and administer a private cloud-based Tableau system with 6000 internal and a broad base of external consumers
•Technical management of the Tableau Server Infrastructure including user management, license administration, data source management, performance tuning , patching and monitoring.
This position will be assigned to NHC.
