DIT Transportation GIS Unit is seeking an Expert Level GIS Architect for its EGIS enhancement and multiple project support efforts. This position provides crucial support to GIS Unit. The responsibility of this person is to assist GIS Solution Architect in design and implementation of EGIS for planned enhancements and system expansion due to on-going support of work efforts sucha as Project ATLAS, Spot Online, Asset Inventory Collection to On-prem EGIS, ArcGIS Upgrade. This GIS Architect is to utilize advanced knowledge and skills in computer systems, networks, and GIS technologies to help design, build, and maintain DOT’s Enterprise GIS system. The position will also help perform system monitoring and fine-tune related components for adequate availability and performance. The position will be required to provide technical leadership, document the procedures for system build, monitoring, troubleshoot and regular maintenance. This employee must work with other teams in IT and user community to coordinate the planning, design, development, and implementation of any GIS systems and processes.
