This resource will work as part of the VDH, Office of Information Management (OIM-DBA) team. The team member will assist in maintenance and administration of Windows Server, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server databases that support critical multi-tier applications implemented mostly in Windows environment. The resource will also work on Application and Server Security, compliance, and vulnerability fixes.
The OIM-DBA team is currently tasked with developing a migration plan to transition from traditional data center environment to the Cloud infrastructure (private/AWS/Azure); the resource will help in coordinating this effort, provide technical assistance in configuring the new set-up with emphasis on security, compile test plans, implement and adopt new features, set-up monitoring and automate processes; document time and effort. The contractor should be able to work and communicate with vendors if required and share timely updates with the team.
