In order for a developer to step in and help in the update and maintenance of the various OVRS applications, they will need the following skills.

JavaScript
Ajax
Good to have:
VBScript – Since we are removing the VBScript from the applications and replacing it with JavaScript (or similar), knowledge of VBScript would be helpful, but isn’t required.
Crystal Reports
Pervasive Btrieve DB – Most of our application databases have been moved from Btrieve to MySQL. However, there are a couple of older programs still in Visual Basic/Btrieve that we need to convert.
The VRAP (Vital Records Application) development team needs a developer to continue the development of EDEN (the death investigation, certificate issuance and tracking portion of the application). Experience with full stack development is key as the developer will have to develop using the MySQL database. The system is scheduled to go-live early next year and will continue to birth information replacing UINTAH.
