Windows Admin (MTA/MCSE/MCSA) with hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, NTFS, SAN, HIPAA, powershell, clustering, cloud/AWS and healthcare experience

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
• Understands interactions between systems, applications and services within the environment and can evaluation the impact of changes or additions.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of providing computing services in a public health care delivery system or academic environment.
• Demonstrated skills with Windows server environment.
• Experience with virtualization. Knowledge of Windows Hyper-V technologies.
• Knowledge of current computer hardware, software and emerging technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with emphasis on explaining technical information in non-technical terms to staff and to develop/maintain effective working relationships.
• Skills in setting up and managing Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and NTFS.
• Knowledge of implementation and management of cluster environments with failover and SANs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and security protocols.
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• Moderate knowledge of and skilled in a wide variety of applications, operating systems, protocols and equipment used in organizations. Basic to moderately complex problem solving skills and basic to moderately complex analytical methods required.
• Highly desired is five years progressive responsible experience in information technology supporting small or medium size business. Certified network administration from recognized industry standard, e.g., Microsoft (MTA, MCSE, MCSA).
• Skills in establishing and maintaining standards, policies, and operational effectiveness of information technology staff. Skills in analyzing operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of powershell (batch scripting).
• Knowledge/experience with implementation and management of cluster environments with failover and SANs.
• Advanced expertise in working with Windows Server Operating Systems (Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016).
• Knowledge of cloud storage and computing (e.g., AWS, Google, etc.).
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains highly complex customer hardware and software. Installs and maintains network hardware and software. Implements and manages cluster environments with failover and SAN.
• Installs Microsoft server operating systems and maintains Active Directory, NTFS security, IIS, and DNS.
• Implements and manages virtual servers and desktops.
• Preserves assets by implementing and performing disaster recovery and back-up procedures, and information security and control structures.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Creates project and systems documentation.
• Provides advice and assistance to individual users and smaller groups.
• Analyzes systems and performs usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability and meet security requirements.
• Identifies user needs to include verifying application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented with particular attention to SAS, SQL, GIS, and web-based applications.
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by understanding the organization’s mission, evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; and anticipating requirements.
• Recommends best practices, implements and manages cloud-based services (e.g., storage and computing) in AWS or other cloud-based environments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, (information technology), management information science or a related field AND five years of information technology experience.
