The NCDOT is seeking an Expert Level Technical Specialist for a 12 month engagement. The Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and making modifications to a .NET inspection application as per Federal and State Guideline changes. This application is a fully installed .NET application and is NOT a web interface. This individual will be knowledgeable in all aspects of applications including implementation and design, database reporting and .NET software modification. The individual must have proven experience with enterprise level development programs. The Specialist will work closely with NCDOT’s IT Manager to make modifications to the meet State IT requirements. This position will be assigned to Century Center. Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes to meet needs. Provide limited support for new modules during implementation. Provide quality control for deliverables. Troubleshooting customer issues with a custom built C# application. Running needed ad-hoc queries or reports against an Oracle/MSSQL database. Communicating with the clients regarding issues and needed changes. Coding modifications or additional modules to meet new guidelines
