Qualifications:
The Systems Administrator requirements include:
REQUIRED:
• The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of the Linux and Unix products listed above from installation, configuration, to securing, to recoverability to disaster recovery.
• Extensive experience administering servers running the Red Hat (or a Red Hat based) operating system.
• Extensive experience with OS patching tools and methodologies.
• Experience administering servers running the Oracle Solaris operating system.
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and security vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Working knowledge with scripting languages such as Shell scripting and Java.
• Experience with Oracle Solaris zones.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server (or any equivalent enterprise patch automation tools).
• Experience with Chef (or any equivalent configuration management tools).
• Experience with Shell Scripting and Python or Ruby.
• Patch Management & Patch Automation experience
• Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities
Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator to perform Application Servers and Operating System patching in our Oracle and Red Hat Linux environment and primarily focused on OS and firmware patch planning, coordination, documentation and process improvement.
