8Extensive hands-on experience in architecting, configuring, implementing, and administrating databases and data warehouse solutions for a large group or organization
5Experience with data warehousing ETL process design/development (ties to HCM/Financial desired)
5Experience with database programming (SQL)
3Experience with advanced reporting and analytics with tools
Preferred
Years Skills/Experience
3Experience with BI tools like Microsoft BI and/or Tableau
3Experience working with implementing enterprise systems and/or replacement of legacy querying reporting systems including Alchemy and Esperant
3Experience working in Agile and Jira
The database architect must have a strong background in architecting and developing technical solutions for databases, warehouses, and business intelligence. Work includes providing solutions for ETL processes, reporting requirements, data cleanup/integration, and potential data warehousing needs. The database architect must have experience developing processes and procedures in support of a large enterprise environment, the ability to administer and support existing database architectures, and skill documenting various project artifacts.
Key responsibilities include:
•Optimizing existing databases
•Analysis of existing legacy reporting solutions
•Recommending and implementing solutions for financial data warehousing
•Developing and optimizing database queries
•Data inventory and classification documentation
•Assist in creating data deliverables for migrating to CAPPS
•Administration and support of impacted databases
•Development of Business and/or Functional Requirements
•Mentoring and training others
