Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline preferably computer science
· 8 + years of professional IT experience in developing software applications using Java technology
· Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards
· Knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs
· Familiarity with developing and managing Java applications using J2EE, Struts 1.2. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, XML, iBatis Framework, Junit, SOA and Webservices.
· Knowledge of JIRA, Git, Jenkins is desirable
· Familiarity in Unix and Database (SQL)
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Exposure to Agile environments
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support Role (50%)
· Responsible for handling and resolving incidents reported in the non-prod environment
· Perform root cause analysis, identify recurring issues and escalate it to the development team
· Review application logs, utilize debugging tools, scripts to triage incidents and identify resolution
· Work closely with Agile teams and other stakeholders to ensure quick resolution to issues
· Identify and suggest process improvements
· Participate in daily stand ups with the team
Development Role (50%)
· Work closely with the Agile Teams and other stakeholders to review defects that cause recurring issues and identify methods to fix the same
· Develop, debug, or modify source code and unit tests to fix root cause of code issues causing production defects
· Deliver JIRA tickets on time and with the highest quality
