PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• Microsoft Certification (MCSA) in BI Reporting
• Able to implement functionality in SharePoint using standard features, third-party solutions or developing custom solutions to meet defined requirements
• Able to configure and maintain the functionality and content within PWA
• Able to provide second and third-level technical support for MS Project Online in an enterprise
• Work with PMO and other vendors to identify and improve additional areas within PWA
• PMP Certification is highly desired
• Working knowledge of APQP or related concurrent product/process development methodologies is desired
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in the English language is highly desired
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of training content and strong presentation skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of project management experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Associate in Project Management, or Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general to limited supervision, the Project Manager manages and coordinates all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects or a component of a larger project of minimal to moderate complexity and risk. The Project Manager will report to the Medicaid IT Services Deputy Director. This is an individual contributor position with no responsibilities for human resource management (e.g., hiring, performance management). Candidates must be self-starters and highly motivated.
Job Duties:
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) insight and recommendations in support of developing a Microsoft Project Web App (PWA) and Power Business Intelligence (BI) implementation plan across a diverse enterprise
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customer to develop/refine overall PWA and Power BI implementation plans across the organization
• Play a lead role in the creation, development, and delivery of PWA and Power BI instructional training materials (process flows, procedures, and other training documentation) to the internal program teams per the agreed upon implementation plan and schedule
• Train and assist teams with Microsoft PWA system set-up, configuration, and day-to-day usage
• Train and assist teams with Power BI set-up, report configuration, and day-to-day usage
• Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and technical support to assigned business unit teams and team members when questions/issues arise relative to Microsoft PWA and Power BI capabilities or when software troubleshooting/problem solving is necessary
• Monitor timing, quality, technical and financial risks and issues on assigned projects
• Mitigate risks through risk analysis and quantification, resolving issues where possible
• Ensure that timely and accurate gate reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects, using these tools to expose risks and elevate issues
• Remain flexible to changing responsibilities and workload adjustments
• This position may require working more than 40 hours per week on an as-needed basis, including weekends.
