Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
4 Experience coding, testing, and debugging code and software programs; preparing test data; compiling and documenting procedures used throughout software development and revision; and assisting in preparing and developing instructions or manuals to guide end users.
4 Experience assisting in developing software requirements for proposed computer applications, including the preparation of detailed analyses, plans, and verification procedures.
4 Experience analyzing, reviewing, and revising scripts and programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt new procedures.
4 Experience assisting in testing applications in all environments; preparing applications to implement into production environment; and preparing instructions for use during production runs.
4 Experience assisting in troubleshooting solutions to software-related problems.
4 Experience acting as a senior developer that may mentor and oversee the work of others.

Years Skills/Experience
4 Recent programming experience with Java (specifically but not limited to Java Server Pages, Enterprise JavaBeans, and Java Database Connectivity), Oracle databases, HTML5, JavaScript (including jQuery, AngularJS, and Bootstrap), Content Management systems, Eclipse based IDE, web browser debugging tools, Apache Ant, secure coding practices, and Version Control software.
4 Working experience with Rational Application Developer, WebSphere Application Server, XML, Crystal Reports or other pdf reporting frameworks, address standardization tools such as QAS ProWeb, IBM Content Manager, SVN, Natural/ADABAS, NeuArchitect, Struts framework, SQL Server and Agile Software Development practices are preferred.
4 Working knowledge of ITIL-based best practices and coding to the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAA) are also preferred.
This position is responsible for performing highly complex (senior-level) computer programming work in the Information Technology Services office of TDI. This position will primarily provide software development support with applications (TXCOMP) running on a J2EE platform used by the Division of Workers Compensation. Additionally, this position shall be responsible for assisting in the planning and migration efforts of all TXCOMP applications onto a single platform. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
