Job Description:
The Strategic Initiatives & Operations Lead is responsible for defining, scoping, planning and leading the execution of key initiatives that are deemed strategic within Consumer Experience Engineering.
Core responsibilities are as follows:
Acts as liaison between the engineering team and EIT stakeholder/partner groups in order to conduct the analysis of and plan and lead the implementation of initiatives to solve highly complex challenges relating to software development tools and processes in cooperation with key stakeholder and partner teams.
Responsible for articulating the current state as well as future state or vision that takes into account people, process, technology and organizational impacts.
Responsible for defining and managing an execution plan for technology enablers that delivers on the defined future vision and key performance indicators.
Works directly with resources from all levels of the technology organization, including engineers, architects, and senior managers in order to meet objectives, communicate change, build support and buy-in, and receive approvals as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of technology project/program management experience managing technology projects for high-availability, large scale applications and distributed engineering teams.
Minimum 5 years of experience using CI/CD tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.) and/or conceptual understanding of CI/CD in order to identify and implement solutions to improve code quality, engineering productivity, and build automation to meet key metrics.
Minimum 8 years of demonstrated, progressive experience with systems thinking, high tolerance for ambiguity, curiosity, analytical ability, openness, and ability to synthesize complex, abstract, technical information into clear problem statements and solutions.
Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience with problem solving, thought leadership and ability to drive action across a large organization.
Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in building relationships across the Enterprise in order to gather information, influence outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement in engineering practices, tools and metrics.
Self-directed, with strong sense of agency, but also demonstrate good judgment to know when to seek guidance or redirection.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong facilitation skills.
Highly competent with MS Office, Jira and Confluence toolset.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in consulting or professional services.
Scrum Master certification (Must).
PROSCI certification (a plus).
