The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor resource to assist with analysis, definition, documentation, and execution of data migrations for NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). This position will have significant responsibilities as part of NC FAST development and work closely with Senior Technical Consultants on data conversion design and development issues, and may act in the role of senior technical developer.
Duties include but are not limited to: leading requirement gathering sessions, conducting planning sessions with client for data migration, developing requirements, recommend data cleansing strategies, designing new programs and using existing tools necessary to extract data from source systems, transform data into target structures and load data into a relational database, and develop conversion output analysis strategies. These activities will involve analyzing and modifying existing programs, debugging programs, and assisting with evaluating data conversion results, identifying performance issues, and developing alternate solutions to resolve issues by conducting system assessment and performance monitoring in order to identify and correct avoidable conversion problems. This position is also responsible for writing specifications, writing test plans and conducting testing as required to accomplish the conversion of legacy system data to NC FAST as well as reporting statuses to the NC FAST Project Manager, and adhering to DHHS policies and procedures.
