Need a general BA to review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and user needs to identify inconsistencies and propose cohesive licensing and case management processes which will serve as the foundation for DPOR’s transition to and implementation of a new licensing and enforcement system.

ABOUT THE ROLE
DPOR (Dept of Professional and Occupational Regulation) is looking for a Sr level BA that will help drive an analysis of current licensing processes for individuals and businesses to establish a more effective solution.

They will work with a team of licensing and enforcement professionals to identify consistent process improvements. The current system (called EAGLES) is Oracle based. BA will work with the current staff of developers in migrating data to a new licensing and case management system. Background in Oracle helpful but NOT REQUIRED. However, the BA does need to be familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.

IMPORTANT: This BA needs to have experience with a regulatory or government environment. Statutory and regulatory requirements are the legal foundation for all licensing and enforcement processes. Make sure their exp is highlighted on the resume

DAY TO DAY

– Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.

– Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.

– Familiar with industry standards (including Legacy, Core, and Emerging technologies), business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options and risk identification. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required for development of computer programs.

– Prepares and documents Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting.

– Assists with business enhancements. Assist in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools
and platforms.

– Works with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and propose solutions. Find improvements of current processes.

– Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.

– Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a regulatory or government environment. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
