Currently, DPS is in the process of piloting and implementing a replacement In-Car/CAD solution as our current solution is end of life and unsupported. Work involves analysis of all existing Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE)/Motor Carrier Bureau (MCB) computer applications in the current In-Car system, as well as, analysis of interfaces impacting import/export of CVE data, e.g. SAFER, CVE Mainlane, FMCSA Imports, etc. Documenting requirements and ensuring business rules are created for the new system is crucial to meet the reporting requirements of the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program grant ($31,000,000 approximate).
