***This is a remote position. If the candidate is outside of NC, they will be expected to come onsite for onboarding the first day but will not be provided state issued equipment. Candidate will need to use their own laptop or vendor provided equipment for a remote PC setup.
This position is to support our iNovah credit card payment application. We will have a large software upgrade release coming soon and upgrade to the credit card devices so there will be extensive planning, testing, documentation need for this initiative.
Description (including, but not limited to):
•Receives, logs and fully documents requests for support for help desk, other service delivery staff and/or users
•Investigates problems and other requests for support from the deployment/project team and determines appropriate actions to be taken.
•Monitors the progress of request for support through resolution and ensures users and other interested parties are kept informed.
•Escalates defects, systems, and network issues to appropriate resources.
•Escalates 3rd party software and hardware issues to vendors; ensuring proper attention is given to the issue depending on severity and impact to project schedule.
•Provides communication on updates and issues to the users, the management team, and development teams.
•Communicates technical information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
•Coordinates product upgrades on the card reader devices among various IT units.
•Evaluates system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
•Evaluates expansions or enhancements by studying workload and capacity of computer system.
•Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data, identifying, and evaluating options, recommending a course of action.
•Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users, interpreting instructions, answering questions.
•Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
•Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
