Remote Azure Security/DR Architect (CISSP/CCSP/CAP) with Cybersecurity DR, NIST/CSF, Azure hosting, migration, Oracle RAC/SQL Server, Kubernetes, DevOps/GitHub experience

Minimum Qualifications
• Five (5) years’ experience in Cybersecurity Disaster Recovery Strategic Planning role.
o A Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelor of Cybersecurity substitutes for two years, or an Associate of Cybersecurity substitutes for one year.
• Two (2) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in Cybersecurity Disaster Recovery Strategic Planning role working specifically with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Two (2) years’ experience in Azure hosting and disaster recovery, including migrations, cost analysis, and DR strategic planning.

• Experience in Disaster Recovery Strategic Planning in government
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) ISC2 Certified
• CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) ISC2 Certified
• CAP (Certified Authorization Professional) ISC2 Certified
• Solid understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate business requirements into new technologies
• Demonstrated understanding of application (ex; Java, .Net, HTML5) and infrastructure (servers, storage, network, cloud, container) technologies, and the techniques and methods available to recover in the event of a disaster
• Solid understanding of technology landscape as it relates to disaster recovery including operating systems, server management, information security, networking, application development, storage and backup, virtualization and/or cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud with a preference for knowledge of Azure)
• Demonstrated experience working across senior leadership, business units, and technology groups to present ideas and build consensus
• Experience developing disaster recovery plans related to:
o Oracle (RAC and Enterprise DB) and SQL Server databases
o Tomcat, WebLogic middleware
o RHEL, Windows OS
• Experience with container technologies such as Azure Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub
• Demonstrable leadership ability
• Ability to direct & manage DR program/project development from beginning to end
• Ability to define DR program/project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders
• Ability to estimate DR program/project resource requirements and participants needed to achieve goals including changes where necessary
• Ability to establish program/project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and tracking such milestones and deliverables
• Ability to manage changes in DR program/project scope, identify potential crises or issues, and devise contingency plans as appropriate
• Ability to communicate DR program/project plans, expectations, updates, progress, issues, and successes in a timely & clear fashion when necessary.

Description of Project :
The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) partnering with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is seeking one full-time resource to work on providing strategic leadership for Disaster Recovery (DR) efforts related to Azure.

At a high level, the resource will review MnDOT applications and priorities and current DR status and practices. The resource will identify any immediate gaps and needs and will recommend long term strategy, outcomes, and best practices, in particular the best options for resiliency in Azure. • Provide strategic leadership for Disaster Recovery (DR) efforts related to Azure
• Develop DR Strategy for MnDOT using Azure
• Provide analysis of our DR position and actions
• Architect, implement, manage, and document IT Disaster Recovery Plans, Risk Assessment, and Emergency Management procedures
• Design, develop, and coordinate multi-site, expandable workload migration and system recovery exercises that can apply across all locations
• Drive validation of our DR programs, incorporating any identified weaknesses or points of failure into the continuous enhancement of our DR planning and testing practices
• Provide strategic vision and thinking with focus on outcomes
• Create clear and attainable project/program objectives
• Create clear and attainable project/program requirements
• Manage program/project constraints of cost, time, and scope
• Form close links with team members and stakeholders
• Provide knowledge transfer.
