The Aviation Information System division is requesting Facility Maintenance and Operation services for the Department of Aviation (DOA) at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport for all Information Technology occupied Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution (IDF) rooms within the Domestic (CPTC) & International Terminal Buildings, Concourses T, A, B, C, D, E, F and Exterior Remote locations on the Airport campus.
Scope of Work
Support Requirements: Selected Vendor shall provide support service types below:
þ HVAC Systems Maintenance (PM services, repair, replacement)
þ Electrical Systems Maintenance (Lighting, adds, moves, changes, etc.)
þ Commercial grade Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS)(PM service, batteries replacement, unit replacement as needed)
þ Fire Suppression/Clean agent Systems (PM service/annual inspections, repairs, replacements as required)
þ Perform Structural Support (Leak, plumbing, structural, etc.)
þ Conduct periodic quarterly cleaning services (Dust removal, IT Cabinets/Racks, floor cleaning, general overall cleaning)
Below is the list of AIS MDF/IDF rooms needing immediate attention.
CPTC Area:
AIS Main UPS Room TC1-1-H1
The AC unit needs to be replaced, and a redundant AC unit needs to be added. AATC has priced out this replacement.
The main AIS UPS needs serviced, 160 batteries replaced, and the UPS monitoring system repaired. This UPS is an Eaton system and not a Vertiv/Liebert.
AIS SERVER ROOM
ROOM #: ME1-1-C6
ISSUE: The 2 HVAC Units tend to leak under the raised floor every so often. The leak detection devices are corroded and do not work.
Also, both HVAC units need to be serviced
These units size and life span need to be evaluated for upgrade/replacement. It takes both 8ton AC units running ALL the time to cool this room. Also, both AC units are electrically fed from the same electrical panel, so if the panel is down for a power shutdown both AC units go down. The room reaches 100 degrees in 30-45 minutes!! Now that there is an additional power feed for the AIS area, one of these AC units needs to be moved to the 2nd power source for redundancy.
The electrical under the floor needs to be moved to an overhead electrical bus duct system. The electrical outlets under the floor are a safety hazard with the AC units leaking. Need to evaluate having 2 power sources for redundancy.
NHBS TSA Bag Screening
The right cabinet needs to have the electrical wiring changed from 208vac to 120vac 30amp L5-30R receptacle added. This was a hard-wired UPS that was replaced waiting on receptacle change.
Atrium MA6-2-H1
IDF cabinet in this electrical room needs 2 electrical outlets added for the IT cabinet. Add L14-30R & L5-30R outlets.
CCT DOA Security IDF room
Need to have outlets installed for IT equipment. Outlets are overloaded. Add 2-L14-30R & 2 L5-30R outlets.
CCA, B, C, E, & F, MDF rooms:
Each commercial Vertiv UPS needs to be serviced, batteries replaced, firmware updated in CCA, B, C, F, MDF rooms. Some of the batteries have started swelling. UPSs need to be connected to the DOA network for monitoring.
CCA AC2-1-11 commercial Vertiv UPS has a power module failure and needs both power modules replaced. This unit is bypass mode.
CCC CS21-1-D1 The Commercial UPS Unit was not placed back into service correctly after the last issue. This unit is in Bypass mode on permanent power and is not providing ANY PROTECTION or backup power. The only protection for this MDF room is the rack mount UPSs we installed during the UPS replacement project.
CCF MDF room needs multiple 30amp power outlets added over all the CCTV cabinets as they are not on the commercial Vertiv UPS, they are on permanent power.
CCA, B, C, and E need to have power outlets removed from inside of cabinets and moved to above cabinets. The 208vac 30amp outlets need to be changed to 208vac 20amp L6-20R outlets to be compatible with PDU equipment. This is to facilitate the MDF room Core Switch Upgrade.
CCF FS9-2-D11
IDF has 2 commercial UPSs that need to be serviced. One is the DOA systems and the other is for the Paging system. Both UPS units will need battery replacements next year 2025.
NON CPTC Buildings (free standing DOA buildings)
North Parking exit plaza MDF room
A redundant AC needs to be installed, as the current AC keeps failing and the MDF room overheating.
MDF room needs cleaning and door sweep replaced.
RCC
The West side parking deck UPS room needs to be sealed, and AC installed. This room has no cooling and is open to the elements and very dirty. There may be 3 additional UPS rooms in the same situation or even more critical, need to verify.
The RCC building MDF & IDF rooms IT cabinet power outlets (all outlets) need to relocated from the back walls to over the IT cabinets. Due to where these outlets were installed extension cords have to be used to extend power to all the IT equipment in the cabinets. The outlets receptacle also needs to be changed to correct receptacles.
North Parking Pedestal
The pedestal air venting system is clogged, and the pedestal has no airflow. IT equipment, UPS, keeps overheating.
Fire Station 24, 35, 33,
MDF rooms need to be cleaned and sprayed for pest. Very dirty and spider webs all over. Man needs new door sweeps installed.
International Parking Deck
All Parking Deck IDF rooms (4-6 IDFs) need to be cleaned and sprayed for pests. Very dirty.
These IDF door lock key cores need to be removed, and blanks installed on all door since they have a Security Access Control System card reader.
