NC FAST requires the services of a Linux Systems Administrator to support NC FAST projects.
The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contract resource to assist with the support of the NC FAST Application Development Environment for NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). This resource will focus on Linux (RedHat/CentOS) Servers hosting cutting edge applications such as Splunk/Dynatrace/Oracle DB/Mobility. The Linux Systems Administrator will also provide expertise to members of the Deployment, DBA Team, Security (PSO), AIX, and Network Teams. Duties include general Linux system administration including security patching, OS upgrades, user management, troubleshooting problems on both physical and virtual environment, installing new software releases (Splunk/Dynatrace/Oracle Database/Diona Mobility & others), upgrades and patches. This resource will work with software vendors (Splunk/Dynatrace/ Oracle Database/Diona Mobility & others) to install new releases, evaluate and install patches and resolve software-hardware related problems as well as participate in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation within the infrastructure. Duties also include writing system scripts for daily administration of both Server and software that it hosts, documenting system infrastructure to be consumed by various levels of management, and performing system backups and recovery.
