Required Qualifications
3+ years of application development experience including design, development and implementation
3+ years of experience working with back-end technologies like Java, Spring, Rest Services
Strong experience in Unit test case coverages.
Experience with at least one of the following source control tools: CVS, SVN, Git
Experience with at least one of the following build tools: Gulp, Webpack, Maven

About The Job
The successful candidate will join a team responsible for developing the next generation CrewTechnology product. The CrewTechnology product suite is used by American Airline’s Flight Attendants, Crew Schedulers and Pilot workgroups to manage and optimize crew schedules, ensure all flights are staffed, and run daily/nightly schedule optimization jobs.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:
Develop a large scale enterprise application utilized by over 30,000 flight attendants using Java, Spring, Rest API.
Monitor performance of application using a suite of application monitoring tools like Dynatrace/Jprofiler and Log Insight
Responsible for fixing any bugs that arise on the front-end of the application as well as implement new feature requests requested by the Flight Attendant user base
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using best practices in object-oriented techniques and Agile software development methodologies.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives and sprint demos.
Formulate and execute implementation plan for delivery of requested functionality.
Work closely with Product Owner, Product Manager, Quality Assurance, and rest of Development Team to deliver requested functionality
Analyze, review, create and alter existing software, automated tests and software artifacts to implement new requirements.
Actively participate in software design and peer code reviews.
Provide training on how to use new or enhanced applications to junior developers.
Provide technical assistance and partners with end users to solve operating problems.
Investigate and resolves problems with software products and systems.
