The best qualified candidate will have:
• Extensive IT Architect experience with production applications using a variety of programming languages and frameworks

Are you a person who loves architecting new projects and technology upgrades in the technology field? Then the Department of Technology Services (DTS) wants you on the Electronic Resource Eligibility Product (eREP) Team. The IT Architect will design, plan, and execute the incorporation of major project and feature upgrades into the system as well as technology upgrades. This will ensure that the application will remain leading edge and maintainable.
Principal Duties
• Direct the analysis, design, and implementation of software programs that support the agencies clients, employees, and overall mission
• Document and/or approve the documentation of systems or programming actions from initial design through ongoing maintenance and ultimately to problem resolution
• Find options and solutions for very complex problems and issues; suggesting improvements and/or modifications to team standards/technical stack to save time, money, or improve integrity of the development environment
• Provides input to upper level management on the implementation of standards and guidelines
• Anticipates the impact that new or modified software will have on existing standards and systems
• Adapts automated system(s) to accommodate special and complex agency needs; designs or enhances agency unique automated systems to interface with existing systems as needed
• Determines the resources needed to plan and implement IT applications
• Discusses requirements with end users and provides software suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges
• Coordinates program activities, services and program implementation with private providers, other governmental entities, program users, etc
• Mentor and familiarize staff with new technologies and impacts.
