Hybrid/Local Software Architect with Banner ERP/HR system integration experience

Additional Skills:

– Applies extensive experience in all development life cycle phases to design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex applications. Performs research and analysis required for project proposal, software and systems modifications, and new projects.
– Develops standards and procedures for programming staff.
– Develops and implements specialized programs to supplement and enhance systems software.
– Provides feasibility assessments, designs technical options, authors code, troubleshoots applications, maintains installed systems, and produces and maintains documentation and testing.

Translates functional requirements into technical design and development projects. Creates and supports web-based applications using object-oriented program languages and other technologies.
– Collaborates with front-end web designers and batch-end programming needs, including relational database design and development
– Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work with users with varying levels of technical expertise

Job Description:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Software Engineer (SE) will build the integration between the SC State Banner ERP and the State HR system (SCEIS). The SE will design, test and deploy an acceptable interface as outlined in Version 5.1 of the SCEIS Implementation guide and provides knowledge transfer to team members for maintenance of the interface.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Build interface module and user guideline documentation that will support standard operations of the interface.
– Work with SC State staff and State of SC HR personnel to facilitate the migrations and testing of the employee data sent to State’s SCEIS system.
– Lead, train and develop internal processes that will support the success of the interface.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
– A bachelor’s degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology. Related experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
