While this position is ideally based in Columbia, South Carolina, requiring three days of in-office work per week.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Minimum 5 years Project Management experience
2. 1+ plus years of experience within network infrastructure, server, and system administration operations.
3. Ability to plan, guide, manage, organize, and coordinate work assignments to employees
4. Ability to present and prepare reports
5. Ability to assign appropriate priorities to work activities based on organizational goals and situational pressures
6. Ability to effectively plan and communicate work activities and deadlines
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. SharePoint administrator experience
2. Power BI experience with creation of dashboard reporting metrics
3. State or Federal Acquisition experience
4. Experience with healthcare and all healthcare related requirements

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
SCDHHS is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure and Operations Project Manager to collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and Operations team and both internal and external stakeholders. The role will focus on ensuring the successful completion and continuous improvement of IT network, server-related and cloud-based projects.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with staff, team members, management, and external organizations, including vendors, to gather and manage information for project plans, portfolios, metrics, reports, and documentation.
2. Define project objectives and scope by reviewing proposals to determine timelines, budgets, procedures, and phases for IT network infrastructure and server projects.
3. Implement project management processes for IT network infrastructure and server projects to ensure timely delivery, budget compliance, high quality, and customer satisfaction.
4. Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to develop deliverables suited for audiences with varying technical expertise.
5. Identify and assess project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
6. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Point of Contact (POC) for managing and enhancing processes related to the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
7. Recommend improvements in efficiency, reporting structures, and productivity to IO Leadership
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage a process for tracking all IT initiatives and projects, ensuring regular reporting and efficient resource utilization.
2. Prepare status reports and provide updates to stakeholders. Monitor project progress, identify necessary activities, and ensure that deliverables, milestones, and tasks are completed on schedule.
3. Attend or lead staff meetings and integrate with the team, gaining familiarity with overall operations and project initiatives.
4. Use Microsoft Office, Atlassian Suite, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other tools to document, track, and report on IT project efforts.
5. Lead projects from initiation through to completion, adhering to the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework.
