Instructional Designer/Training Specialist
Sample Tasks
• Incorporate engaging learning strategies into course material to increase participant success, achievement and engagement.
• Define and document learning objectives for each release.
• Create instructional material: courses, curriculum, learning guides, lesson plans, training modules and skill assessments.
• Development of visual, audio and interactive learning tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Development team to assure learning program content compliance and quality.

Sample Skills/Requirements
• Five years Microsoft Office experience, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• One year experience of virtual classroom training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education or related field
• Instructional design certification program
• A working knowledge of learning theories, which explain how people learn and provide principles and frameworks that describe the learning process.
• Project management experience.

This role will lead in the creation of Training materials to support technology releases for the business. This resources will document formal lesson plans and training modules related to the release, gaining business sign-off. Training will consist of instructor led in classroom training and computer-based training modules. Skills assessments will also be completed for each release to assess assimilation of knowledge and information presented. Resource will coordinate training with (3) internal PERA Training Instructors.
