Business Analyst (IIBA/LEAN) with BABOK, UML2 and government experience

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in enterprise-level IT business analysis.
• Knowledge and skills in International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) Knowledge Areas and Techniques.
• Extensive experience in facilitating meetings and conducting presentations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Ability to identify what should change by understanding systems impact by business processes.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications:
• IIBA Business Analysts Certification
• LEAN Practitioner Certification
• Demonstrated knowledge in Unified Modeling Language version 2 (UML2)
OMWBE is currently working on a project to implement a system that will collect contract data from all Washington state agencies and Educational Institutions. This system will enhance OMWBE’s ability to monitor and report on this data to support activities and make policy recommendations to promote inclusion and equity in state contracting and procurement.
As an IT Business Analyst on this project, your Job responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and specifying product scope for current and proposed business process, business requirements and new business process development.
• Provides planning, research, analysis, group facilitation, documentation, and control of IT Product scope and IT Product requirements for the BDMS Implementation project by utilizing specialized skills in eliciting, facilitating, and managing scope and requirements, throughout the project.
• Assisting on the planning, monitoring, and controlling of the implementation of the statewide implementation of an out of the box IT solution.
• Provide enterprise-wide training on the IT solution to state agencies, prime contractors, sub-contractors, and procurement professionals.
• Participate in meetings to discuss progress of the project.
