Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience. Degree or experience to include user-centered design and human-computer interaction
• At least 2 years of UX experience
• Strong understanding of UX Design including research and design aspects
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to explore trends in UX and apply them
• Strong interest in human behaviors and interactions
• Knowledge in the areas of design patterns, design principles, concepts, graphic design, and usability
• Experience with tools such as Adobe Create Cloud Suite
• Extensive knowledge of web and mobile platforms
• Understand of HTML, CCS, JS/JavaScript, Angular, React, Node, Git or similar tools
• Experience in agile development processes
• Thorough understand and experience with accessibility requirements
•Understanding of UX design best practices, verbal communication, standards, specifications, and architecture
Summary:
The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) is working on a comprehensive modernization initiative to replace our legacy systems, referred to as the Utah Schools Information Management System (USIMS).
