The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking candidates to fill Java web application programming needs. We are in the process of migrating from a mainframe-based platform to a Micro Focus platform. We will be working with contracted resources to assist with moving business rules into the Microsoft Power Platform. These positions will assist in modifying Java web application code to work with the new system data schema.

Duration will be extent of CITS project that could be 2 to 3+ years with the possibility of long-term retention if needed.

Performs highly complex (Senior-level) software development work. Work involves assisting the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Information Technology with mainframe modernization and implementation of a new Corrections Information Technology System (CITS) platform.

Skills:
•Writing, analyzing, modify and testing Java applications
•Work on-site in Huntsville, TX or Austin, TX or remote options available
