PROJECT DETAILS As part of its on-going modernization efforts, the Mississippi Department of Education is seeking an Azure Engineer to assist in designing and implementing Azure Landing Zone architecture. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of Landing zone design capabilities using multiple Azure subscriptions including but not limited to policy, billing, connectivity, identity, management and DevOps. They will have a deep understanding of azure services such as resource groups, vnets, azure key vault, availability sets, roles and policies, DNS, azure firewalls, expressroute, VPN, app gateway, privatelinks and recovery services
JOB DESCRIPTION This position will require qualified Azure Engineer to take the lead in the following tasks:
• Implementation of a landing zone architecture through TerraForm to manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging TerraForm to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
• Deploying IaC utilizing Azure DevOps pipelines
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
• Automate processes and infrastructure lifecycle management
