SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Client is seeking an expert Tableau Developer to develop, publish and maintain Tableau dashboards and self-service OLAP solutions. As part of the MES team , the candidate will contribute towards the successful completion of complex business solutions in accordance with the Deputy Director of OIM’s vision for the Medicaid Enterprise System.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
The Tableau Developer will be responsible for developing, publishing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and self-service OLAP solutions. The developer will need to be comfortable using Tableau to model hierarchies, as well as develop reports and dashboards against OLAP cubes. Qualified candidate should be comfortable engaging with Business and Technology Stakeholders/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other Agency staff. Success in this position is measured by the Tableau Developer’s ability to deliver self- service solutions.

We are looking for candidates who are highly organized, can work independently in a fast-paced environment and produce multiple quality deliverables with varying deadlines. Candidates should have an excellent understanding of development concepts and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Essential Responsibilities
• Analyze, design and create self -service Tableau OLAP solutions.
• Evaluate, analyze, design and implement dashboards and reports based on business requirements
• Triage requests, gather requirements and facilitate development with a quick turnaround time
• Develop Proof of concept solutions and demonstrate to business as required
• Provide training on developed solutions as required.
• Work with the database team to optimize deployed solutions if necessary.
• Document and maintain artifacts of logic used in Tableau.

Program Experience:
Current experience with South Carolina Medicaid, Social Services, or similar public benefit programs is strongly desired and will be given the highest weight.
Experience with multi-tenant environments, cloud services and vendor interface management would be considered desirable for this position.

Technical Knowledge:
• Minimum 5 Years Tableau development experience
• Experience creating dimensional hierarchies in Tableau
• Experience reporting against multidimensional cube data sources
• Experience creating Tableau self service solutions
• Understanding of OLAP reporting and MDX
• Proficient in SQL Language
• Experience Creating Tableau calculations, LOD calculations, actions, time period functions, parameters based on requirements
• Experience working with complex large-scale installations and end to end implementation of Business intelligence, BI reports dashboards
• Experience working in a BI Reporting Projects in a customer facing role.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization.
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of other BI tools like Power BI
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of No SQL databases like MarkLogic

General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design, development, implementation and/or ongoing maturation of Client BI capabilities.
• Conduct User training as required
• Documentation as required
