Onsite/Local BA with Jira and Agile/Scrum experience

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Utah State Courts)
Duration: 24 months

Remote work 70% to 30% onsite work
Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of direct experience as an Information Analyst or Business Analyst leading teams interfacing with business personnel, and performing the duties of analysis, design, writing specification documentation, interpreting requirements for technical development staffs, and related assignments, on small to large scale IT Operations projects. The candidate will work closely with the Sr. Technical Program Manager.

The candidate will have the capacity to simultaneously handle multiple projects, and the ability to effectively communicate detailed requirements to the technical programming staff. At a team level, playing a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools and coach members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team.
Bachelor degree not nessesary with more tenure working experience as a BA

The Business Analyst role is responsible for gathering software business requirements, presenting requirements to technical staff, and managing the requirements to release. The candidate chosen for this position is responsible to provide services on new development and/or maintenance projects on any court software system including operational projects. This position will work on large IT Ops projects. The candidate should have some experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
•Organizes, chairs, facilitates and documents meetings with users and technical staff and serves
as the lead in defining and documenting project definitions, scope, objectives, business work
flow processes and diagrams.
•Leads project planning, management of application and database requirements, business
functional specifications, design, technical specifications, business, technical standards
documents, test case scenarios, and other analysis and design tasks.
•Prepares and distributes progress reports; manages risks and issues; corrects deviations
from plans; and performs delivery planning for assigned projects.
•Assists in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing
roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project
work; and mentoring and developing team members.
•Ability to communicate project status, issues and/or risks to appropriate stakeholders
•Estimates project and or functionality requests cost and ensures deadlines are met.
