REMOTE Part-time Azure Enterprise Architect with Salesforce, BPR, BA, Java/.net, Oracle and education domain experience

Location: Denver CO (Colorado Department of Education)
Duration: 10 months (20-40 hrs/week)
This position may start as a part time then become a full time depending on the relative projects.

SECTION 4.0 Experience and skills
4.1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field; master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
4.3. A minimum of 5 years as primary enterprise architect on enterprise-level projects.
4.4. Experience and success in implementing multi-year, multi-million dollar, large custom or customizable applications
4.5. Knowledge of emerging solutions, applications and technologies, critical thinking and communication skills
4.6. 2+ years of experience in business analysis and process engineering/re-engineering
4.7. In-depth knowledge in generating process documentation
4.8. Comprehensive knowledge of corporate systems architecture processes and trends
4.9. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills\
4.10. Experience with software development cycles
4.11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4.12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
4.13. Ability to form strong relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate transparent and frequent communication
4.14. Ability to create cloud base architectural patterns and solutions at an enterprise level
4.15. Strong collaboration skills
4.16. Detailed analytical and problem-solving abilities
4.17. Ability to organize complex technology solutions, that include specific technology deliverables, roadmaps, timelines, operational requirements and budgets impacts
4.18. Ability to build presentations and to present
4.19. The ability to pass a background check
4.20. Preferred: Cloud Architecture or Engineering Certifications
4.21. Preferred: Experience working within the education sector
4.22. Preferred: Salesforce, MS Azure, Oracle, .NET, and Java experience

SECTION 1.0 PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Colorado Department of Education/CDE is seeking a qualified Enterprise Architect well versed in MS Azure, Salesforce, and system integrations for Information Management System’s development teams. This is a staff augmentation to envision, communicate, and evolve CDE’s enterprise architecture. Using ESSER funds, IMS is in the process of implementing a department-wide CRM and Grant Management systems within the next few years. In addition, IMS is working on upgrading Data Pipeline system (CDE’s data collection system) and moving it to MS Azure.

This engagement also includes addressing key enterprise aspects – including organizational structure, business processes and strategies, data and information, and supporting technologies – and how they fit together and are expected to evolve over time.

This position may require contact with tool vendor or third-party vendors. This initiative is critical for IMS support of CDE’s Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). We need an Enterprise Architect expert that, can quickly ramp up on the CDE environment, understands the work needed, can do the work, and can communicate to others how to do the work.
This position will be working closely and providing technical support to the IMS Enterprise Architect.

General requirements
2.1. Contractor shall work closely and collaboratively with the Project Manager, IMS Executive Director of ESSER Projects, Jawed Samsor throughout the duration of the Purchase Order to discuss suggestions or issues and incorporate guidance from the Department while performing the work described within this Statement of Work.
2.2. The Contractor shall alert the IMS Enterprise Architect, and the Project Manager when issues or potential risks are encountered that will affect the project.
2.3. The Contractor shall provide documentation to the Enterprise Architect. This documentation must provide details on the work provided and at a level a department employee can use the information to support the work at the end of the contract.
2.4. The Contractor shall submit detailed status reports or participate in weekly status meetings as required by the Department during the engagement.
2.5. The Contractor shall attend required meetings with the required project stakeholders as directed by the IMS Enterprise Architect and the Project Manager.
2.6. The Contractor shall retain all work papers generated for reference through the duration of the project and project acceptance.
2.7. The Contractor shall respond to all telephone calls, voicemail, and e-mail inquiries from the Department within one business day.
